revolutions (2018)

revolutions is a choreography that explores ongoing revolving movements in a cyclical dance accompanied by spoken text and participatory instructions for the audience. The spectators are seated in a circle. The performance begins as a solo, to become a duet as Hanna Sybille Müller is joined by another dancer, Kelly Keenan. revolutions emerged out of research into things that cycle, turn, repeat and change, or not. The exploration of the movements is a voyage through somatic practices and different dance styles and their approach to cyclical forms, movements and patterns, while the spoken text is shaped by interviews of thinkers and scientists on the concept of revolution, ranging from political philosophy to microbial ecology. The performance plays with the ambiguity between political, cultural, environmental and corporeal revolutions in an attempt to understand the world in a sensory way.

révolutions (2018)

révolutions est une chorégraphie qui explore les mouvements de la giration. Cette danse cyclique est accompagnée de texte parlé et d'instructions participatives pour le public. La performance commence en solo, pour devenir un duo comme Hanna Sybille Müller est rejoint par une autre interprète, Kelly Keenan. Les spectateurs sont assis en cercle. L'exploration des mouvements est un voyage à travers les pratiques somatiques et différents styles de danse et leur approche des formes cycliques. Le texte parlé est façonné par des entretiens de penseurs et de scientifiques sur le concept de révolution, allant de la philosophie politique à l'écologie microbienne. La performance joue avec l'ambiguïté entre les révolutions politiques, culturelles, environnementales et corporelles dans une tentative de comprendre le monde d'une manière sensorielle.
